Tea Time!

Kusmi-1

Give yourself a treat be the most “cliché” English tradition: a cup of tea. For breakfast, afternoon tea or before sunset, it is always nice to give in to temptation of this drink. The problem, thus, is choosing which variety to buy. Black tea, green tea, flavoured tea… Ceylan, Darjeeling, Russian… The best is to look for advices in specialized shops.

Saint Germain des Près inhabitants love to go to the 56th rue de Seine, Kusmi Tea boutique address, a well-know tea house established since143 years. You can find a wide range of delicious teas, ‘speciali-teas’ packaged in design boxes.

And at the Placide Hotel, we are so much enjoying curling up in the entrance hall with ‘a good cup of hot water with plants inside’ as would say the French humorist Florence Foresti, that we decided to organize a partnership with Kusmi Tea. Dear clients, when whispering ‘Wladimir for ever’ to a member of the Saint-Germain des Prés’ boutique, you will benefit from a 15% discount on teas and accessories until July 30th, 2010.

Help yourself!

Artistically Yours

parcours-stGermain

Fan of Comtemporary art ?

You just found the right place !! Artistic walks take place in the hotel area until June, 17th. The district, highly recognized for its culture in the heart of Paris, is organizing le Parcours Saint Germain (Saint Germain’s course) for 10 years now. In the program, dozens of masterpieces are shown in the most mythical places such as Café de Flore, La place de l’Eglise Saint Germain Des Près, luxury shops like Sonia Rykiel, Dior, Agnès B for instance, Le Lutecia…

Every year, Le Parcours is built up based on a theme. In 2010, the district symbol is music. You will have the pleasure to discover the “Colours of Sounds” on the fabrics, photographs or sounds installations imagined by artists as the Brazilian Elaine Tedesco, the Berliner Gregor Hildebrandt, the Russian Anya Zhelud and many others…

But the chat can be seen as the best solution to have an idea on special exhibits and decide the way that suits you the best in the course of Art…
