It is fluorescent and « ghastly, but it can save your life » according to Karl Lagerfeld… This is partly inaccurate since Allianz and the association for traffic control have launched the Yellow Work Art: a meeting between the creative world and the safety equipment vital for any driver, the famous retro-reflecting waistcoat. Thanks to the creative initiative, the security “cloth” is redeeming itself a fashion credibility.

In fact, 64 fashion designers of whom the famous Marithé+François Girbaud and Chantal Thomass, the emerging Heimstone and Swildens, the original Christophe Guillarmé and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, and many more, have redesigned the famous yellow waistcoat.

This gives an interesting exhibition @ the Laurence Esnol Gallery from March,1^st  to March 3^rd. You can walk, run, fly to discover pieces from outstanding collections intended to make us realize that we can not mess about security.

And, if you feel like it, you could buy yourself one of these creations at the auction sales taking place on March 3rd (@ 7 :30 pm) to support the association for traffic control.
